For particulars of extra express trains and restrictions, on use of ordinary express trains see separate advertisement. On 291h and 30th December the train which usually leaves Christcliurch for Rangiora at 5.10 p.m. will start at 5.41 p.m., RangJora arrive 0.53 p.m. On 30th December a train will leave Rangiora for Christcliurch at 5.3(5'p.m., Christchurch arrive- 6.45 p.m. The afternoon train' from Culverden will start at 3.35 p.m., Christcliurch arrive 7.21 p.m. After leaving Ashley this train will stop only to set down. The afternoon train from Parnassus will start at 1.40 p.m. Night Trains leave Christcliurch for Dunedin at 10.35 p.m., and Dunedin for Christchurch at 10.45 p.m. On Ist January extra trains leave Christchurch for Lyttelton at 9.25, 10.25, and 11.35 a.m., and Lyttelton for Christcliurch at 9.50, 10.55 a.m.. and 6.45 p.m. The train which usually leaves Rangiora for Christcliurch at 7.12 a.m. will start at 8.42 a.m., Christcliurch arrive 9.50 a.m. The morning train from North Line will leave Waikari 7.30, Christchurch arrive 10.15 a.m. Between Ashley and Christcliurch will stop to set down only.

Late train leaves Christchurch for Templeton at 10.30 p.m. Excursion Trains.—An excursion train will leave Christchurch for Timaru at 8.5 a.m., arriving Timaru 11.10 a.m. Will take passengers for Timaru from Addington, Hornby, Templeton, Dunsancicl, Rakaia, and Ashburton, and return from Timaru at 5.38 p.m., arriving at Christchurch 8.50 p.m. Excursion train leaves Christchurch for Little River at 8.10 a.m. It returns from Little River at 3.50 p.m., and arrives Christchurch 6.0 p.m. The evening trains from Christchurch will start as under:—For Ashburton and Methven at 5.50 p.m., Ashburton arrive 8.20 p.m., and Methven 9.10 p.m.; for Midland and Whitecliffs Branches at 5.15 p.m., and run as on Wednesdays; for Southbridge and Little River Branches at 6.10 p.m., arriving Southbridge 8.0, and Little River 8.20 p.m.

The morning train from West Oxford will start at 7.35 a.m. The train whieh usually leaves Christchurch for Hangiora at 5.10 p.nl. will start at 5.41 p.m., Rangiora arrive 0.53 p.m. A train will leave Rangiora for Christchurch at 5.36 p.m., Christehureh arrive 6.45. The afternoon train from Culverden will start at 3.35 p.m., Christchurch arrive 7.21 p.m. After leaving Ashley this train will stop only to set down. The afternoon train from Parnassus will leave at 1.10 p.m. The evening trains from Christchurch will start as under:—For Midland and Whitecliffs Uranches at 5.15 p.m., and run as on Wednesdays; for Ashburton and Methven at 5.35 p.m., arriving Ashburton 8.30 p.m. and Methven 9.18 p.m.; for Southbiidge and Little River Branches at 0.10 p.m., arriving Southbridge 8.0 p.m. and Little River 8.20 -p-ni. The 5.15 p.m. train Islington to Christchurch will NOT run. Night trains leave Christchurch for Duncdill at 0.5 p.m., and Dunedin for Christchurch at 8.15 p.m. On 3rd January the train which usually leaves Christchurch for Rangiora at 5.10 p.m. will start at 5.11 p.m., Rangiora arrive 0.53 p.m. 1 ARES. To Tiinaru return, available only by the Excursion train on Ist January:—From Christchurch and Addington 12'0 first class, 8/0 second class; from Hornby and Templeton, 12/- and 8/-; from Dunsaildel, 10/- and 0/0; from Rakaia, 8/6 and 5/9; from Ashburton, 7/6 and 5,-.
