I . N.Z. LAND MORTGAGE CO. Press Association. AUCKLAND, December 23. The directors of the New Zealand Land Mortgage Company will, at the annual meeting, to be held in London on January 9, recommend a dividend at the rate of 12 per cent, per annum, less income tax. The interim dividend paid in July will be deducted, £27,000 will be added to the reserve fund, and £15,840 will be carried forward. TODAY'S POULTRY MARKET. Messrs J. B. Merrett and Co. report a large entry for their final Christmas sale today. The total marketed for the week was over 12,000 birds, which established a record. There has been an increase in pro- ) duction during the year, so that the demand I for Christmas has been amply supplied. | Prices have shown a great improvement over previous years, especially for prime quality birds. Table chickens realised today 7/- to 11/3, goslings 8/- to 11/-, hens 3/- to 5/9, ducklings G/- to 11/-, ducks. 4/to 7/-, turkey hens 8/- to 13/-, turkey gobblers 17/- to 36/-, all per pair. THE EGG MARKET. The egg market is well supplied, and the Christmas demand has been good. Canterbury Egg Circle first grades realised 1/1, seconds 1/3 per dozen.
