There w-as I little change in the order as they went along j the back, but three furlongs from home Beewood made a mistake that enabled Gipsy I King to show out in front for a few strides. | Beewood was first into the straight, and. I After a couple of false starts, the field I got off in good order, with the exception j of St. Ursula, who stood on the mark. Tami arisk made play past Mace's from Reggie I Huon, this pair being well clear of General 1 Link and Author Dillon. Racing round the top turn. Author Dillon and Young | Tohu closed on the leaders, with General Link heading the others. Passing the stand, Tamarisk and Author Dillon were lon terms, just clear of Young Tohu and j Author Dillon, with Oinako improving his I position. As they went along the back, I Oinako gradually closed on the leaders, j and three furlongs from home he had taken charge. By a great final effort Author Dillon closed on the leader, and, after a spirited finish, was only a head to the bad when the post was reached. Ten lengths I back came Reggie Huon, followed by Young : Tohu and Tamarisk. Time, 4min 35see. ! Wilson) 3 Also started: 7 Galindo Lou Isec, 0 Scenery 8. 1 Cora Dillon 0, 5 Gold Drift 11, 4 Darkness 11, anil 8 Ngaiora 14. Ngaiora led from the start, and showed the way all along the back strelch from Rorke's Drift, King Karri and Nutwood Junr. Going round the top turn King Karri passed Rorke's Drift, and at the stand this pair were in close attendance on Ngaiora. Half a mile from home Ngaiora faded out, and King Karri went on just clear of Rorke's Drift. Nearing the post the lastnamed had King Karri's measure, and drawing right away won comfortably by eight lengths. Kilty yards back came Nutwood Junr., followed by Scenery and Darkness. Nearing the post Lady Moth came with a strong ' run, but failed to catch Dora McKinney, j who won by four lengths. Half that disi tance back came Havana, just m front of i Trooper Dillon.
