RIFLE SHOOTING.
RANGIORA DEFENCE GROUP. The third of the scries of matches controlled by the No. XI. Defence Croup was fired on Saturday on the Rangiora range. The matches wore open to members of rifle chilis within (lie group area. The conditions were as follows: -Match 1., first practice, 200 yds, second-class figure, five shots in 20scc; second practice, 200yrs; No. .'5 figure, silhouette, five shots, Iscc exposure Match :!, first practice, MOyds, secondclass figure, exposure r>sec, five shots; second practice, second-class figure, 15 shots in fiOscc; 1 point penalty for each round unexpended.
