CONSCRIPTION BALLOT.
PROCEEDING TO-DAY. Press Association. WELLINGTON, December 11. The ballol under the Military Service Act is proceeding this afternoon to fill up a shortage of slightly over 1000 men for the 25th Reinforcement. It is not expected that Auckland, Hay of Plenty, or Nelson will require 'go to the ballot. The Defence authorities will send into camp with the 25ths all members of the permanent staff and of the R.N.Z.G.A. who are members of the First Division.
