GERMAN OPINION. "The Times" Service. (Received December 11, 1.15 p.m.) LONDON, December 10. German opinion of the British crisis has been confused owing to the rapidity of events, but it has disclosed remarkable features. It is obvious that there was a partiality for Mr Asquith, and the recent striking accentuation of peace propaganda pointed to indications that much was to be expected from Mr Asquith's and Lord Grey's sympathy with the American Peace League. The German How of peace talk suddenly ceased when Mr Lloyd George's success became probable, the Press receiving instructions tc adopt a new line, that the developments in England favoured i peace, because Mr Lloyd George's regime was the last desperate throw. Meanwhile M. Trepoff's war speech strongly affected German opinion. The fall of Mr Asquith and of M. Stunner are linked as meaning a fight to a finish.
