SWIMMING.
WHARENUI CLUB
The Wharenui Amateur Swimming Club held a carnival in the Wharenui Coronation Baths this afternoon in aid of the fund to provide an electric pump for pumping out the hath. The weather was line, and there was aj good attendance. Good entries werej received for most of the events, and the finishes were close. The swim-! ming on the average was of a good standard, and great interest was shown by the younger members in the races provided for them. The following were the results:— SCHOOLBOYS' RACE.-C. In the pillow fight Syniister and McCullough were left to fight the final, the former winning. McCullough overbalanced with the impetus of his first blow and fell into the I water.
