ARTILLERY ACTIVITY. A. and y.Z. Cable Association and Renter. LONDON, December 8. Sir Douglas Haig reports;— There was considerable reciprocal shelling |in the vicinity of the Thiepval ridge. A French message says:—On the I left bank of the Meuse there was a [lively artillery struggle in the region of Hill 301. The cable news in this Issue accredited to “The Times” has appeared in that journal, but only where expressly stated is such news the editorial opinion of “The Times.’’
