Pursuant to Section 12 of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913," I hereby give notice that a Poll of the Ratepayers of the City of Christehurcb, taken on the 6th day of December, 1916, on the proposal of the Chrlstchurch City Council to borrow the sum of £60,000 for the purpose of the further distribution and supply of electricity from the Government Generating Station at Lake Coleridge and the purchase and erection of all plant, materials, and things necessary and incidental thereto, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1373, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 667, and I declare the PROPOSAL to be CARRIED.
