WEDDING.
A military wedding, which is of interest to a great, number of people throughout New Zealand, was solemnised at St Thomas's Church. Wellington, on Wednesday last, the bride being Miss Madeline Beatrice, daughter of Mr and Mrs A. C. Brainley, of Wellington, and the bridegroom Trooper George Reginald Mansford, younger son of Mr and Mrs Herbert Mansford, of Blenheim. The Rev. Mr Fancourt officiated. The bridegroom was attended by Private H. Bramley (brother of the bride), while Sergt. T. C. Mansford (cousin of the bridegroom) acted as groomsman. The bridegroom is a nephew of Miss Shirtcliffe, of Christchureh, The bride, who was given away by her father, wore :i charming gown of white silk taffeta, •he corsage being of silver tissue, and (he train, which fell from the waist, being of very pale pink silk, the end outlined with spraj's of pink roses. This original note of colour was repeated in the hair, whore, instead of the usual orange blossom, there nestled a wreath of tiny pink rosebuds. Over these she wore a beautiful lace veil. She carried a shower bouquet of white flowers.
The bridesmaids were the Misses Florence and Koro Mansford, sisters of Ihe bridegroom. They wore pretty dresses of cream erepe do chine, large ■ ream hats, veiled with black lace, the brims of which were trimmed with pink roses, the crowns being slashed with saxe blue ribßSn. They carried shower bouquets of pink flowers, with streamers of saxe blue and pink.
After the ceremony, Mr and Mrs Bramley held a reception at Godber's, in Cuba Street, where a very happy reunion of relatives and friends took place. During the day Mr and Mrs Geo. Mansford received many congratulatory telegrams. Trooper George Mansford leaves for the front with the 21st Reinforcement.
