LODGE MEETING.

PIONEEE LODGE. The Pioneer Lodge, No. 1, 1.A.0.D., held its half-Yearly meeting on Momlav, i A.D. Bro. J. J. Holmes presiding. The bards reported 10 members under their care. The sum of £9 was parsed for ' sick pay. 1 Correspondence was received from Dr W. Thomas, resigning his position as 1 medical ofiicer. The resignation was accepted with deep regret, and the see--1 retary was instructed to write ami thank him for the valuable services he had rendered to the lodge fur so many year?. It was decided to appoint his son. I>r .1. K. Thomas, to fill the office. The balance-sheet showed the fund* of the- lodge to be £6"523 13/6, an increase for the half-year of i'llii' 14/11, the sick pav £IGO. ami the interest earned £10:'. Bros. Neate and Johnston; V.A.D.B.s, Bros. Baker and Wellans; auditors, Bros. Xeate and Baker: D.G. Lodge representatives, Bros. Smith and Bowers; sub-rep.. Bro. Marriot; Dispensary delegates. Bros. Kennedy ami Smith; dele-ate to the F.B. Council, Bro. Smith; Hall Committee, Bros. Kennedy. Smith. Bowers, .Johnston, and Gledhill: Hall Committee auditor. Bro. Xeate. During the evening the D.G.L. officers and I'.D.P. Bio. Mullhany,- of the Board of Management, paid an official visit to the lodge, and spoke in reference to matters connected with tha order.
