The presentation of the opera was highly successful, and another good house for to-night's performance is assured. At the Magistrate's Court to-day, before Messrs G. W. Andrews ami W. Oakley, .LP's, the following were lined 20/- and costs for exceeding the speed limit over the bridge:—"Win. A. Power (10/0 costs), Lcn. Jvelcher (7/-), Wm. Ilelmau (7/-), ('has. 11. Hide (7/-), ,1. ('. Paget (7-), J. Cameron (7/-). Clayton fatten was lined i'.O/- with costs 7/'-. In the ,-ivil case, Mitchell and Turner v. M. Stack, judgment was for 11 10/and 10/- costs.
