MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
TO-DAY'S CASES. [ Messrs S. Bullock and A. S. Seed ' presided at the Magistrate's Court this morning. THEFT. Dorothy Cant was charged with theft of ornaments, etc., of a total value of £2, the property of Sarah Williamson. Accused pleaded guilty. Chief-Detective Herbert said that » the accused was employed in the house of the complainant, and had | previously stolen some goods, the j theft of which she had admitted. ! Although given another chance she j had, when leaving, stolen the j articles mentioned. The accused was ordered to come j up for sentence when called upon, j on condition that she remained in i the Salvation Army Home for six I months. DRUNKENNESS. Isabella Jolly, for drunkenness,! was lined 10/- and costs. RECKLESS DRIVING. William Price was charged with driving a motor too fast over a ] crossing in Montreal Street on No- j vember 21. A fine of £2 and costs was im- j posed.
