He enlisted at once, and left as a lieutenant with the Main Body. He saw much service at Gallipoli, and later left with his battery for France. He was educated at the Sydenham School, was actively associated with work in connection with Ihe Lyttelton Seamen’s Institute, and an active member of the Drapers’ Hockey Club, and the cricket club attached to Dunstable House. SERGT. F. D. MOSS. Sergeant Frederick Dutson Moss (died of sickness) was the only son of Mrs D. Munro, Balfour Terrace. He was born in Christchurch, and educated at the East Christchurch. School. After leaving school he took up farming, joining his mother at Mount Browm, Ambeiiey, under Mr

(now Sir James) Innes, of Edingight, Scotland, and later he proceeded to England, where he spent nearly three years. After returning to New Zealand he engaged in farming at Hororata. He enlisted with the Main Body, and was first Q.M.S. with the remount section at Addington. He left with the Veterin-

ary Corps of the 2nd Body, and after reaching Egypt was transferred to the Mounted Rifles. He had been in Egypt ever since, and was one of the few of the original body who remained. It is thought that Sergeant Moss took a chill, which started the illness that terminated fatally. He was 37 years of age.
