MILITARY SERVICE APPEALS.
CASES AT BALCLUTHA
Press Association
DUNEDIN, December 7
The Military Service Board sat at Balclutha to-day, where there were 11 appeals. William and John Langmur, dairy farmers at Ralanui, eontended that their enlistment would be contrary to the public interest, and cause* undue hardship. They worked a farm and milked cows for a factory. There was no one else to do the work, and their parents were aged people. The board was of opinion that one should go and the other remain at home. Decision was deferred until both appellants had been medically examined. If one is til and the other unlit the tit one may have to go.
The appeal of Robert Mcintosh, labourer, of Owaka Valley, was allowed, the appellant being uder age.
