SOUTH WAIMAKARIRI RIVER BOARD.
The South Wnimaknrirj River Board met yesterday afternoon, there being present: Messrs C. It. A. T. Opie (chairman, .1. Leslie, A. P. Briee, 0. Burgess, \i'. K. Bowden, F. E. Jones, and II? W. I'erryman.

[The overseer's report stated '-hat there lilad been two small floods in (he river since last meeting, but no damage had been done. The repor' further stated that broom and gor ic were spreading oh certain parts of 11m reserves. The overseer recommended (lie letting of Ihese parts by contract for clearing; The work done during the month had consisted of clearing water-rajjes, grubbing, road formation, and fencing.
