Dispatches from the Berlin corre-! of the United Press, who! is in the Transylvanian Alps, stale that there is great suffering amongst 1 Rumanian women and chilrren refugees. Airmen report that the roads are black with wagonloads fleeing from] West Wallachia towards the Alt River. Even von Falkenhayn admits that it is terrible that women and children should suffer such misery. Von Falkenhayn, interviewed, said: We are not anxious to take Bucharest, which would mean that we should be compelled to feed the population. Our task is to destroy the Rumanian army. Von Falkenhayn is hurrying operations in the endeavour to prevent the arrival of reinforcements from! Mouastir and from Russia.
