BAGDAD RAILWAY.
TAURUS RANGE PIERCED. A GERMAN TRIUMPH. TJnitttd Service. LONDON, November 24. Sofia reports that the Bagdad railway tunnel through the Taurus range has been pierced. The "Evening News" comments on this that in a year the Germans will have shortened the Berlin-Bagdad journey by a fortnight. The "Daily Mail" says:—"This tunnel overcomes the last natural obstacle to German control over the Berlin-Bagdad line which menaces both Egypt and India. We have wrecked our opportunities in the Balkans as we did in Belgium in 1914, in Serbia in 1915, and in Rumanian in 191 C."
