BRITAIN'S HUGE ARMY. THE ALLIES" EFFORTS. Australian and N.Z. C till Association. PARIS, November 23. M. Albert Favre, in a remarkable speech in the Chamber of Deputies, said that behind a rampart of French breasts the British Army had grown to formidable proportions. It was expected that it would reach 6,000,000. Italy had 3,000,000 men, while Russia had trained 8,000,000 men, and this number she can double. England's effectives were in the proportion of one in 10 of her population, Italy's one in 11, Russia s one in 20, and France's one in six.
