The electoral officer anticipates that the final result of the referendum will be declared on Tuesday. The "Noes" at present lead by 59,202. RESERVE BEING FORMED. A NEW PROPOSAL. MELBOURNE, November 19. Senator Pearce proposes to create I an Army Reserve. It is proposed | that it should consist of members of the citizen forces who have completed their training, of returned soldiers, of residents of the Com-
monwcalth who have seen active service in any part of the Empire, and of members of rifle clubs, while incapacitated soldiers will be formed into an honorary reserve. Senator Pearce anticipates that within 12 months of the termination of the war the scheme will give Australia from 150,000 to 200.00 C trained men, apart from the military forces.
