SUNBEAM KINDERGARTEN.
The usual monthly meeting of the Sunbeam Kindergarten was held in the schoolroom, Cornwall Street. There were present: Mesdames Chilton (in the chair), Cogan, Wilson, Kellaway, Blank, Misses Ilurse, ami L. Tabart (hon. secretary). Apologies were received from Mesdaines Morton ami W. H. Clark. The monthly report of the school showed the roll number to be 57. School subscriptions amounted to £3 10s. Mrs Hull, Napier, had kindly presented the school with a tin of biscuits. The head mistress reported that there had been some sickness in the school, bnt not of an infectious character. Mrs Chilton said the chief business of the meeting was to make arrangements for "Kindergarten Day." It had been decided at Executive that each of the three schools would hold a stall at the festival, taking place in the Art Gallery on December 13, and sho now asked members present to undertake a produce stall. She explained that this was the first time there had been a "Kindergarten Day" in Christehureh, and it was hoped all members would endeavour to make it a success. After discussion it was decided that '' Sunbeam" school would undertake a produce stall, to be managed under the supervision of Mrs Chilton and the committee.
