It was reported by the Tourist Office | this morning that both branches of the | Waima'kariri were clear, the Bakaia and | "Rangitata -were dirty. The Opihi and j Waitaki were clear. Mr H. "W. Bishop presided over a 1 short sitting of the Magistrate's Court this morning, when two first offenders for drunkenness, a male and a female, were each fined 5/-, in default 24 hours' j imprisonment. To-morrow (Show Day) the following. ! tramway time-table will be in force:— ; Holiday time table, as shown on pages 39, 51, 54, 112, 113 of the public | time-table, will be run on the Cashmere Hills-St. Albans Park, Sumner-Woolston, i and Burwood-North Beach lines. Special •service will be run to and from the .show grounds. The ordinary Friday time-table will be followed on all other lines. The 20 minutes service to New i Brighton, between 5 and 6 p.m., will be cancelled, and cars will leaxe the Square at 5.12, 0.42, and 6.12 p.m.. and leave New Brighton at 5.44, 6.14, and 6.44 p.m. Cheap excursion tickets to and from the seaside will not be sold tomorrow. Graham, Wilson, and Smellie's prel mises will be open till 9 p.m. Thursday, 'i-and 12 noon Friday, and close 1 o'clock j Saturday, as usual. .3 HABLEY-DAVIDSON. This 1916 model is the grandest piece x>f mechanism ever produced by the Harley-Davidson firm. Demonstrations of the silent running Harley will be given by Jones.
