The wheat trade is at a standstill, i awaiting the effect of the Governiment's action. The Commission has issued a circular to the trade announcing that ' iv is prepared to take over, at last Monday's fair market price, all holdings or contracts then existing for : wheal and Hour. All the wheat and (lour controlled by the Commission will he sold through the customary channels by firms who will be appointed by Government agents. The Commission's action is not intended to in any way restrict free dealing in slocks of wheat and flour not bought by the Commission. PRICE OF BREAD. INCREASE IN LONDON. LONDON, October 12.
