A deputation waited on the Minister of Agriculture, representing those concerned in the butter trade, to urge the removal of the embargo on exports, and also the recognition of an advance of at least 2d a lb, to bring butter for the local market into line with the value for export. The Minister referred the matter to the Board of Trade, to get fuller information.
