WAR SPECIAL. LONDON, October 3. A Gorman communique announces: North of Thiepval and north-west of Courcellettc ve recovered trenches from the English. who won ground on both sides of Eaucourt and Labaye, after the heaviest sacrifices. Between Guedecourt and Morval we repulsed four enemy attacks. The Trench penetrated the first line west of Snillyrancourt Road and St. Piereivaast Wood, but Mere driven out. The Russians west of Luck violently attacked us twelve times, and their guards seventeen times. All failed with heavy losses.
