RUGBY UNION.

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The Management Committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union met last evening, when there were present: Messrs F. T. Evans (president), C. Evans, A. E. Byrne, A. Dey, K. W. Britten, S. F. Wilson. ('. Buchanan, F. D. Kcsteven, W. B. Fuller, A. McPhail, and G. Dobbs. CORBETT BENEFIT FUND. The chairman reported that the committee representing the Hibernian Society, Alarist Bros., Old Boys, and the Union, which arranged the Corbett Benefit Fund, had held a final meeting, when trustees were appointed to deal with the amount raised, about £IOO. It was decided to refund the Lytteiton Boy Scouts' team, which took part in the recent seven-aside competition, the train fares paid by it from Lyttelton. Till': END OF THE SEASON. The chairman paid a tribute to the work of the various sub-committees during a trying season. It would be necessary to cater more for school football, and he thought the time was opportune to give the Public. Schools Athletic Association direct representation on the committee of the union.
