FIRES.
AN OUTBREAK EXTINGUISHED.
An .outbreak of fire at No. 330 DurhamNstreet, which occurred at 8.25 p.m. yesterday, might have had more serious consequences had it not been for the prompt arrival of the brigade. The fire originated in a washhouse attached to a two-storey building of eight rooms, owned by Mr Murray Hobbs, and occupied by Mrs Emma Gaynor. It was suppressed after part of the building and the contents had been damaged.
