Details of the air raid made on Ksst-n by two l-Yeneh avijilors show that the aviators avoided large towns on their route. They flewf I over Kssen at a height of KKIO I metres. Krupp's works showed :is a veritable world of chimneys as they were bristling on all sides from sheds, factories, and furnaces. A great cloud of smoke rose from the bombed factory. The aviators received nut a single cannon shot. The ollieial account concludes: —"We know now that we can reach (■ermany in broad daylight, and when we chouse we can send a numerous squadron.""
