AUCKLAND MARKETS.
[Sperial to The Sun.l AUCKLAND, August 24. Storfc stocks of potatoes having now worked down, this market is bare. The Te Aiiau and Monowai are due with shipments, which are to be distributed mostly on the wharf. The shortage lias caused an advance to £lO, but for prospective shipments slightly lower figures are quoted. The market is well supplied with onions from Victoria, via Sydney, and they are quoted at 9/- per cwt. Store stocks of oats are lor,w r , but further shipments are tine from the Bluff at the latter end of next week. The quotation is 11/7 per bushel, Algerian seed 5/3 to 5/6. Stocks of chaff were about cleaned out until the Rosamond arrived with a small shipment, and another vessel is also about due. Prime southern is quoted at from £7 15/- to £B. Maize is in ample supply at 3/9, for wholesale lines on the wharf.
