PRICE OF CHEESE. [Special to The San.] WELLINGTON, August 18. Mr Massey has copferred with the cheese producers regarding a proposal that the Board of Trade should take the -whole output at a fixed price. The producers proposed BJd per lb, and the Imperial authorities are not willing to pay this. No agreement has been reached, and probably the present arrangement will be continued. TALLOW. The following cablegram was received by Dalgety and Co. from their London office, dated August 16:—'-There was nothing sold at the weekly auction, buyers being indifferent. Probably no sale will be held next week."
