CHRISTCHURCH LIEDERTAFEL.

ANNUAL MEETING. The thirty-first annual meeting of the Christcliureii Liedertafel was held in the Carlton Cafe last evening, when Mr James Jamieson (president) presided over a large attendance. The committee's report stated that five conceits had been given during the season. The finances of the society were still feeling the effect of the war, and several members had volunteered for the front. At a special general meeting it had been decided that the title of concerts should in future be "at homes" and '•'smoke concerts." Reference was made to the death of tiie late Mr T. H. Harnett, and also to the resignation of Mr A. Worsley. The balance-sheet showed that the receipts were £247 J')/', and the expenditure £2.'54 12/9, leaving a credit balance of £l2 13/4. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. On the motion of Mr Millar it was decided that the committee should consider the advisability of altering tin 1 concert night from Friday to sonic other night in the week. I)r Manning was appointed as trustee in place of the late Mr Barnett. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—President, Mr J as. Jamieson; vice-president, Mr C. 1). Morris; secretary, Mr F. N. Meadows; conductor, Dr Hiadshaw; committee, Messrs W. Broadhurst, \V. (!. Cookson, S. Hawker, E. Hollow, and A. Millar.
