ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
BOY'S SUDDEN DEATH. A very sad ease of sudden death occurred yesterday, the victim being a boy named Harold Ray, aged 15 years, residing with his parents in Wright's Road, Hillmorten. Ray was attending the West Christchurch School, in preparation for the matriculation examination. On getting up yesterday morning, he appeared to be in his usual health. Just before leaving for school he was seized with severe pains in the head and with a fit of vomiting. His mother immediately went for a doctor, but upon her return 6he found him dead. At an inquest yesterday afternoon, the. coroner, after hearing medical evidence returned a verdict that death was due to syncope. MAN'S LEGS INJTJBED. A man named C. Gibson was admitted to the hospital yesterday, suffering from injuries to his legs, sustained while working for Messrs Cooper and Duncan at the pumping station. His condition is not serious. FALL FROM A BICYCLE. A lad named George Dey was found yesterday lying in Hagley Park, having apparently fallen from his bicycle. He was admitted to the hospital, where- it was considered that he had taken a fit. He is improving. RAILWAY FATALITY. Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 22. Harry Ryder, an electric lineman, who was knocked down by a train at the Lambton Station yard on Thursday evening, died in the hospital last night.
