HOSPITAL BOARD SUBSIDIES.
DEPUTATION TO MR RUSSELL. LEGISLATION TO BE FRAMED. Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 21. The Hon. O. W. Russell, Minister of Public Health, replying to a deputation from the Wellington Hospital Board on the question of the subsidies paid to Htispital Boards, said it was proposed next session to introduce legislation to amend die present system. One provision would be thai Hospital Hoard estimates would have to he submitted to his department before being passed. It was also proposed to call a conference of representatives of Hospital Hoards before finally framing legislation.
