TALK OF STOPPING WORK. EIGHT HOURS DAY DEMANDED. By Cable. — Press Asnociativn. — CopyriyU. (Received July 21, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 21. Stop-work meetings of the miners employed in the collieries throughout Australia are being moved for to protest against the failure of the employers to grant an eight hours day and the payment of over-time. The miners al Maitlaud have resumed work, the employers granting a conference. STATE MINE IDLE. (Received July 21, 11 a.m.) MELBOURNE, July 21. The employees of the State coal mine ceased work as a result of being refused an increased rate of wages.
