DOMINION CONFERENCE.
OPENS IN CHEISTCHUECH - TOMOEEOW.
The first annual Dominion Conference of Master Painters will be held iu the Employers' Association rooms to-mor-
row, commencing at 10.30 a.m. This conference will be of great importance to the trade, and delegates are expected from Auckland, Wanganui, Wellington, Palmerston North, Napier, Timaru, lnvercargill, Dunedin, and Ashburton. Among the subjects which will come up for discussion will be the federation and constitution rules, the health inspection of public buildings, the technical education of apprentices, and the Dominion awards. The matter of the proposed rise in wages will be of interest to all the delegates, as the Dunediu Arbitration Court is standing by its decision, ami the Auckland Union is cited (o come before the Conciliation Council at an early date.
