The problem of deserving and undeserving cases was touched upon, anil cases in stanced in which men received adequate wages to keep their wives and families in all necessities, but who, through drunken and improvident habits, be came a charge on the fund. Several suggestions were thrown out as to dealling with such cases, but it was decided 'that none was adequate to penalise the .man without making his dependents | suffer. • The following committee was appointed:—Chairwoman, Mrs Malcolm: committee, Mesdanies Green, Wilson, I Bileliffe, Spiers, and another representative from the Salvation Army, listers Annie, Winifred, Annie Tocher, Florence, Miriam, Grace, Catherine, Julia, Nurse Geaney, Revs. F Rule, and X. | Turner.
