SAVAGE CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Christchurch Savage Club was held on Saturday evening, Chief Savage A. F. Wright presiding. The annual report stated that lu koreros had been held during the past season, but it had not been thought lilting to hold the usual ladies' night or club supper. In addition, it had been decided to assist the Red Cross funds by a series of koreros. Two had already been given, and both had been very successful. The club had also assisted the A'nzae Day celebrations at Rangiora. The next korero for the Red Cross would be at Rakaia on May 20. Many Savages had enlisted, while two had returned from the front. It was resolved to change the korero night from Monday to Saturday. Laudatory mention was made of the excellent work rendered by Savage Meadows, who was retiring from the honorary secretaryship, after live years' service. Officers were elected as follow: —President, Dr J. Guthrie; vice-presidents, Savages R. Wallwork and W. Menzies Gibb; committee, Savages Dr J. Guthrie, jun., Dr S. Foster, 11. Watts, S. P. Fenton, F. N. Meadows, V. Buchanan, E. D. lioben, and M. Orchard; hon. treasurer, Savage .). N. Campbell; hon. secretary, Savage V. C. Raphael.
