ACCIDENT AT ASHBURTON.

PORTER FALLS FROM TRAIN. A railway porter, named McLaughlan, fell from the second express south this afternoon, as it was drawing out of Ashburton Station, and was badly shaken. It is surmised that he was engaged in shutting the carriage gates, and, finding that he was being carried too far, jumped off. Medical attendance was immediately summoned, and MVLaughlan was removed to the bounty hospital.
