CALL TO SERVICE.

SEVENTEENTH REINFORCEMENT. THIRD OF QUOTA RECRUITED. Fifty-one men, who have been passed by the medical ofliecr, are now available for the city quota of the Seventeenth Reinforcement. This is a third of the number required, leaving three and a half weeks to recruit the balance. This result has not, however, been attained by heavy enlistments, but is mainly attributable to the large proportion of last month's temporarily until, owing to teeth trouble, having, now had this defect remedied.
