SPORTS AT TIMARU.

CALEDONIAN SOCIETY'S GATHERING. Showers of heavy rain rather spoilt the second and concluding day's sports, held at Timaru yesterday, of the South Canterbury Caledonian Society's annual gathering. The attendance was only moderate. Some excellent sport was provided. T. C. Lee, who was favourably placed in both events, won both the big sprint handicaps.
