At the last meeting of the War Pen-sions-Board, 11 claims on behalf of soldiers,were dealt with, and three pensions were granted, totalling"£lo4 per aiiiium. '■• Four. allowances;; for stated periods were granted, representing £110; : One application declined, and three applications ad-! journed. Seventeen applications were made on behalf of dependents.; Of these, 14 were granted relief, one was declined, and two adjourned. The 14 applications granted totalled £461 per annum, including ll sions to parents of £26 per annum each. One widowed mother receiv-i ed a pension of 15/- a week, and an-: other widowed mother, a pension of £45 per annum. One wife was granted a maximum pension of £65, and £26 for two children.
