RED CROSS.

WORK IN BECKENHAM.

A men's bandage bee, which has been working for the past three weeks in St. Philip's Mission Room, Beckenham, on Saturday evenings, has ma'de in all 835 bandages. Several ladies have also assisted. There are still more machines available, and men are cordially invited to give their services, as at present there are only seven machines in use. The next meeting will be held on Saturday, January 15,' at 7.30 p.m. The ladies of the Beckenham branch have also been very busy, and have sent in their month's work —somewhere about 80 garments. They will resume work as soon as the holidays are over, and the secretary would be glad to receive the names of more workers.

BUEWOOD SCHOOL CONCERT,

The Burwood School Concert, in aid of the local branch of the Eed Cross Fund, was held on Tuesday evening in the Burwood Hall, and was well attended. The audience greatly appreciated the clever manner in which the children performed the various items. The proceeds of the concert amounted to £lO. During the interval Miss Livingstone was presented with a fountain pen, in recognition of her valuable assistance in connection with the school concerts.
