LATE SPORTING.

HORORATA RACING CLUB. The annual meeting of the Hororata Racing Club was held to-day in fine though windy weather. There was a good attendance, and the course was in nice order. Details of the racing are:— FARMERS' HACK HANDICAP, of 40 sovs. Seven furlongs. 1 C. P. Bnckcnham's b g Bandy, by Sarto—Tourmaline, 6yrs, 8.0 (J. Campbell) .. .-.. .. ;. .. ... ... .. 1 2 H. A. Bandy soon took charge, and showed the way all through, winning easily by two lengths. Olga Carlovna was a similar distance away.. Time, lmin 32scc. BANGOR HACK HANDICAP, of 40 sovs. Six . furlongs. 2 R. Emerson's b m Forest Belle, by Glenapp—Forest Queen, aged, 8.6 (C. Emerson) 1 1 G. B. Starkey's Comely, 9.7 (J. Campbell) 2 .'$ Sir Geo, Clifford's Floweret, 8.8 (F. E. Jones) 3 ; Also started: 4 St. Ewe 9.0, 6 Glee 8.9, 7 Koi 8.5, and 5 Star Blue 8.0. Forest Belle and Star Blue were the first to show out, but at the end of two furlongs the latter gave place to Comely. Turning into the straight Forest Belle had a slight advantage of Comely, and in a good race all down the running won by a head. Floweret was three lengths away, followed by St. Ewe. Time, lmin 18sec. HORORATA CUP HANDICAP, of 100 sovs. One mile and a-quarter. 2 G. L. Stead's > g Moulu, by Boniform —Orinulu, "<*yrs, 8.5 (C. Emerson) M 1 Sir George Clifford's Snapdragon, 8.7 (F. E. Going along the back straight Moulu took charge, and from this out he had matters all his own way, winning comfortnbly by two lengths from Snapdragon. ' G.ionie was a head away, third, followed at a similar interval by Multum in Parvo. Time, 2inin 10 l-ssec. GLENDORE TROT HANDICAP, of 50 sovs. One mile and a-half. ID. Tassy M. made play for a mile, when Franchise took charge. From this out ,thc latter had matters all his own way, and won by four lengths. Eight lengths back in third place came Tassy M., followed by Bloo'miield. Time, 3min 58 4-ssec. COALGATE WELTER., of 40 sovs. Seven furlongs. Sveaborg 9.10 1 Melford 9.G 2 Glenyar 8.0 3 Also started: Madrid. Won by a head. BRACKENDALE HANDICAP, of 15 sovs. Five furlongs. - Bore 8.13 1 Martuk 8.13 2 Star Blue 8.7 3 Scratched: Glee, Sport, Malvolia. Won by a neck. Time, lmin 3sec.
