SUMNER-REDCLIFFS.

From Our Correspondent. The sunshine recorded for the week ending November. 28 was 75h 30m as compared with 28h 10m for the same period last year. There were 13 hours or more sunshine on three days—viz., 22nd, 26th, and 28th, —the minimum amount recorded being 3h 34min, on the 24th. The annual meeting of the Sum-ner-Redcliffs Ladies' Miniature Rifle Club was held on Monday evening, the patron, Mrs G. W. C. Smithson, presiding. The report stated that practices had been regularly held on the open range, and at the tramway shed. Three matches had been fired and two trophies competed for. The balance sheet showed receipts £34 4/8, and expenditure £32 7/1, leaving a credit balance of £1 17/7. There were no liabilities. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: Patron, Mrs J. B. Laurenson; president, Mrs G. W. G. Smithson; vice-president, Mrs Marquet; captain, Miss Garrick; vicecaptain, Miss Rutherford; secretary, Miss M. Wood; treasurer, JMiss Foster; committee —Mesdames Pidgeon and Twentyman, and Misses Dickenson and McEwen. Votes of • thanks were accorded Messrs G. G. Foster and G. J. Treleaven for their services and advice during the year. It was decided to commence firing on the open range on December 10, arid to continue every Tuesday evening and Saturday afternoon. •
