SHIPPING NOTES.

Mr W. D. Schofleld, second officer of the Wimmera, is on holiday leave, and is being relieved by Mr W. G. Robertson. The White Star liner Cufic, which made a special call at Bluff in September, last to lift a quantity of cargo, and which left that port on September 13, arrived at London on Monday last. '•■' Owing ■■, to the Monowai haying been delayed in the north by bad weather, the vessel did not arrive at Lytfelton until yesterday. 'As a consequence the vessel is not again due at Lyttelton until Sunday. She: sails on Monday for Wellington, Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. i,: The schooner Morning Light has been recommissioned after having been laid up, l during which time she has undergone an overhaul. She is now awaiting a favourable opportunity to sail for Nelson with a cargo of produce, upon discharge; of which the vessel proceeds to Nydia Bay. to load timber for this port. , ; The Shaw, Savill liner Kia, Qra, bound from London to Auckland, arrived' at Hobart oh Monday last. The vessfel if due at Auckland on Sunday next, and subsequently visits Wellington -and Lyttelton, being due here about December 11. After discharging the vessel goes on the loading berth for London, and besides other cargo the vessel will lift about 86,000 carcases of mutton. Mr G. H. King has shipped in the Pa- ; tecna as third officer. \ Mr A. H. Wishart joined the Kini yester-; day as second engineer, vice Mr T. Rutter,; who has transferred to the Kaltuiia.
