Mr and Mrs A. E. G. Khodes and Miss Rhodes left Christchurch for England last night. Miss Campbell (Christchurch)- is staying with Mrs Gordon Harper at Karori, Wellington. Mrs Denshire (Ashburton) is visiting Cbristclrurch. Miss Raine (Timaru) is visiting Christchurch. Mrs E. B. Izard (Nelson) has come to Christchurch for a few weeks. An exchange announces the engagement of Dr Mary Dowling, second daughter of Mrs Dowling; ( Ne>y Fly l mouth, to Dr. Arthur Kidd, ,of the Christchurch Hospital. Miss Glyn Roberts, of Kaiapoi, - is visiting Napier. Miss Nance Lewis-Bishop has returned to Christchurch, after, a visit to Wellington, where she went to be present at Miss Eunice Garland's wedding. The Misses Wooleombe (Nelson) are visiting friends in South Canterbury. Mrs Holdsworth and Miss Nell Holds" ■worth are staying w T ith \Mrs Deans. The Rev. and Mrs A. Selwyn Bean, oi Rugby, England, leave for Wellington this evening, to join the Rimutaka, for London. Mrs D. D. Macfarlane, North Canterbury, came into town to-day. Mr and Mrs Sandall (£>£ Albans) are staying at New Brighton. Mrs G. L. Rutherford- is staying at Warner's. >• Mrs C. Dalgety liaß returned •to Christchurch from a visit to the North Island. Miss N.
