WEDDING.

Word has been received announcing the marriage of Miss Ada Luxton, of this city, to Mr Harry K. Messenger, M.A., of Springfield, Massachusetts, which took place in Bangkok, Siam, on July 19 1915. The following is from the "Bangkok Daily Mail" of July 20:—

"At 7 o'clock yesterday evening Mr Harry K. Messenger was married to Miss Ada Luxton, by the Rev. Mr Robt. Franklin, in the official presence of Dr Hansen, who acted on behalf of the American Consulate-General. The bride wore a white hand-embroidered silk and crepe de chine frock and a hand-embroi-dered- veil. Besides the participants and the persons named, there were present at the church only the bride's mother, Mrs Luxton, and Mr Wolcott H. Pitkin, General Adviser to his Siamese Majesty's Government, who was best man. Mr Messenger, who graduated from Williams College in 1911, has been in this city since January, having come-out as a private tutor in classics to the sou of the late General Adviser, Mr Westengard; After completing his college course, he studied and travelled in Greece for a year, and then spent at Harvard University two years of research work in classical philology. Messenger has been in Bangkok with her mother for about a month. The young, people intend remaining in Siam till 1916, when they will return to rica, and Mr Messenger will resume his professional work."
