COMMONWEALTH LOAN.
A MARKED SUCCESS. [From our own Parliamentary Reporter.! WELLINGTON, September 2. Mr Massey has received a cablegram from Mr Andrew Fisher, Prime Minister of Australia, notifying that the Commonwealth loan of five millions, raised at par at 44 per cent., has achieved marked success. Applications closed yesterday, and totalled 10,747, the amount of money offered for loan being 13 millions. It is expected that the Dominion loan of two millions will meet with similar success.
