THE PRIME MINISTER'S PRAISE
[From <nir own Parliamentary Reporter.!
WELLINGTON, August 16,
Referring to the reception of the 6th Reinforcements by the city of Wellington on Saturday, the Prime Minister to-day spoke very enthusiastically.
"It was worthy of the occasion, from a patriotic point of view, and exceedingly satisfactory, both to the city and to the men themselves," he said.
'The Prime Minister also voiced an opinion, that was in everybody's mouth on Saturday, viz., the splendid physique and bearing of the troops.
"I am quite certain," he said, "they ore as fine a lot of men as any country can produce, and they are a credit to themselves, their country, and the officers who trained them."
