SUBMARINE WAR.
GERMAN CONSTRUCTION. A VISIT TO HOBOKEN. AMSTERDAM, August 14. The "Telegraaf's" special correspondent visited the German submarine yards at Hoboken. He says that since March 19 nine submarines have been constructed. British airmen almost entirely destroyed one on April 26. Two have been launched and now are in service. The remainder are rapidly approaching completion. Since the successful British attack every possible precaution has been taken against aerial bombs. The yard is roofed with steel plating covered with sandbags. Only the hulls are constructed at Hoboken. All the interior parts are made in Germany. One submarine from Hoboken already has.been lost. It was named Kaiser Wilhelm 11. and carried three officers, one petty officer, and 12 men.
